pistachio and pomegranate bliss balls

Moroccan pistachio and pomegranate bliss balls

It seems nowadays that there are an infinite amount of bliss balls recipes all over the internet and magazines.

I personally am a bit bored of seeing the 101st recipe for chocolate bliss balls – how many different chocolate bliss balls can there be? A lot it seems…

And don’t get me wrong, I love – and I mean love – chocolate bliss balls, but sometimes I just need something different – something with a twist.

I love bliss balls. Bliss balls are the perfect alternative to sugar-laden processed cookies or biscuits. They are perfect for kids’ lunchboxes and also as a great snack for morning or afternoon tea at work. Bliss balls can be a powerhouse of protein, healthy fats and carbs, therefore can also be a perfect post-exercise recovery snack.

I love experimenting with different flavours to create something that you don’t see every day and everywhere.

Bliss balls can be a powerhouse of protein, healthy fats and carbs, therefore can also be a perfect post-exercise recovery snack.

Hence, these Moroccan Pistachio & Pomegranate Bliss Balls came about. I am fascinated by Moroccan food. I love how Moroccan food incorporates spices and fruits to create that perfect balance of sweet and savoury to create that perfect meal. I love Moroccan cooking as it abounds with subtle spices and intriguing flavour combinations.

Moroccan Pistachio & Pomegranate Bliss Balls are a perfect snack or dessert for the upcoming Christmas festivities. I bet that if you serve them at the Christmas table no one would even know that they are healthy and a mini superfood in disguise.

For a perfect summer Christmas, serve the Moroccan Pistachio & Pomegranate Bliss Balls with some iced honey sweetened mint tea and you’ll have everyone asking you for the recipe.
