Golden Gut Cookies Recipe

There’s no better afternoon tea than dunking a cookie into your favourite cup of tea. These golden cookies are for those perfect golden moments — the ones you want to last all afternoon long. Plus, they’re high in anti-inflammatory spices, so you can really have your cookies and eat them, too.

Golden Gut Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1 tbsp Supercharged Food Golden Gut Blend or use 1 tsp turmeric, pinch cinnamon & pinch ginger powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 3 tbsp raw honey or ½ tsp stevia powder
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method


  • Preheat oven to 190°C.
  • Place baking paper on baking tray.
  • Place oats, almond meal, Golden Gut Blend, and sea salt in bowl and mix together.
  • In separate bowl, add egg, banana, honey, butter and vanilla and stir.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry and mix with wooden spoon.
  • Scoop handfuls of dough together and roll into balls.
  • Place on baking sheet, then press down with hand or spatula to make biscuit shape about 5cm thick.
  • Bake for 15-20 mins, until golden-brown.
  • Once ready, place on wire rack to cool.
