Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp good-quality tomato sauce or chutney
- ¼ cup tamari
- 2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp lemongrass paste
- 3 tbsp avocado or olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cracked pepper
- 1.2kg pack frozen chicken wings
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Place all ingredients except for the chicken wings in a large bowl and mix well.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade and rub it into the wings.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper (trust me, you do not want to have to scrub that tray afterwards) and lay the wings out in a single layer.
- Place in the oven and bake for 35-40 mins or until cooked through, dark and sticky.
- Tip: To defrost the wings quickly without using a microwave, place the unopened pack in your sink and cover it with cold water. They’ll defrost in a third of the time.
