Ingredients
- 400g dark chocolate, chopped
- 500g butter, cut into cubes
- 2½ cups brown sugar
- 8 eggs
- ¾ cups cocoa, sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 cups cherries, pitted
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Place chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl and melt in a microwave or over a saucepan with simmering water.
- Place brown sugar, eggs, cocoa and baking powder in a large bowl, add chocolate and stir to combine.
- Pour batter into a 34cm x 23cm baking dish lined with baking paper and place cherries on top, pushing them into the batter slightly.
- Bake for 40 mins or until set.
- Tip: You can use half dark chocolate and half milk chocolate if you prefer milk over dark.
