Trust the flow of life
To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. — Alan Watts
Holding on to that which no longer serves pulls you away from your natural flow. Resistance can stifle your passion and creativity. However, what if this resistance could act as a gateway to accessing the path of your highest potential? When you resist what naturally needs to surface, it will persist in the deep layers of the subconscious.
Do you find yourself suppressing your emotions through addictions? Or do you react to everything, causing you more suffering and pain? Life is about finding the middle way by developing equanimity and a balanced mind. The body is changing in every moment and has varying sensations, and your emotions also vary. The journey involves acceptance of these physical sensations and emotions over an entire lifetime.
When you resist what naturally needs to surface, it will persist in the deep layers of the subconscious.
Accepting the reality of every moment as it is within the body equals the art of living. Everything is impermanent and everything is changing in the body in every moment. It’s when you don’t accept reality as it is that you react and create even more suffering. The mind is where all pain and suffering begins.
I’d like you to take a moment to tune into yourself.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Notice any tension or sensations in the body and just sit with them. Bring acute present awareness to the moment you are experiencing. Do not try to change it; just accept the reality of this moment.
My hope is that you let go of your suffering and accept the ever-changing cycle and trust the flow of life. This is where harmony resides.
I would love for you to come and join me at my next Full Moon Gathering. Reconnecting to your Sacred Self is an opportunity to reconnect to your inner centre and to reflect on your inner world to restore passion and vitality for the month ahead.
I wish you peace on your week ahead and that you can trust the flow of life.
Blessings,
Kat Ellis McIntyre
