Take a deep breath of fresh sea air and let it fill your lungs. Close your eyes as the golden rays of the sun reach out over the Pacific Ocean and warm your body from your toes, buried in the sand, all the way up to your face. Wellness is in the air here at Noosa — and you’re invited.

Peace is a state of mind easy to find in Noosa. Whether you’re relaxing on one of the many heavenly beaches, exploring the verdant natural surrounds or engaging in a meditative or invigorating activity, there’s plenty of things to see and do to help you not only enjoy a holiday, but achieve wellbeing.

Start your day with an outdoor yoga session with Noosa Beach Yoga. Move and stretch your body in the Noosa Woods with the most gorgeous vista of the sparkling blue ocean as your backdrop. Welcome to destination wellness; you have well and truly arrived.

Noosa National Park is a beautiful place to continue your wellness journey. There are plenty of scenic trails for the fitness enthusiast to enjoy, whether you’re embarking on an adrenaline-pumping run or taking your time to stop and smell the sea air. The Tanglewood Track is a favourite amongst keen walkers, winding through coastal rainforest all the way through to Alexandria Bay and Sunshine Beach. Trails can be enjoyed independently or, for those looking for more guidance, the team at Noosa Running Tours are experts in the field and can assist you with one of their popular walking tours.

After working up a sweat, it’s time to cool off in the deep blue sea — and Noosa has no shortage of pristine locations for you to enjoy. Noosa enjoys some of the east coast’s only north-facing beaches, which allows for small waves and crystal- clear water. Immerse yourself in the ocean and enjoy its healing properties that benefit both mind and body.

Nothing says wellness quite like enjoying a massage by the idyllic shores of Main Beach. MassageandWellbeing.com has a bespoke clinic positioned right in this beautiful location, with a second store at Sunshine Beach. Treat your body to a massage here and truly unwind in between dips in the ocean. MassageandWellbeing.com also offers a mobile service so you can enjoy a treatment in the comfort of your own hotel or resort room.

Spas, sand and the sea

there is no shortage of day spas in Noosa, with some of the country’s best wellness therapies located right here. Enjoy luxurious treatments in a serene setting at the Noosa Springs Spa. Inspired by ancient Roman baths, this spa nurtures guests’ mind, body and spirit via hydro-massage and flotation pools, infrared sauna, steam room, blitz shower, thermal capsule, outdoor couple’s spa and treatment suites, as well as in the relaxation lounges and courtyards.

Nestled in amongst lush tropical gardens is Ikatan Spa, an Asian-inspired wellness destination that offers guests a true escape from their everyday. Packages allow guests to experience a complete multi-hour therapeutic experience, with options including everything from yoga and meditation to a Balinese foot ritual and of course a variety of massage therapies.

AQUA Day Spa is another peaceful destination dedicated to beauty and wellness. Rejuvenating treatments and sublime therapies will leave you feeling renewed and reinvigorated, with the aqua therapy pool and steam room the perfect preparation space for you to enjoy ahead of your soothing ritual.

Bespoke rituals and water therapy are on the menu at Stephanies Ocean Spa. Positioned within Peppers Noosa Resort and Villas, this day spa offers an in-depth treatment menu as well as a mineral flotation pool and Vichy shower. One of our favourite treatments there is the mineral flotation colour therapy, where guests are invited to free their body from gravity and let their tension seep away as they enjoy the soothing ambience colour therapy provides.

Out and about in Noosa

Other must-do activities for the wellness explorer include a journey to the Noosa North Shore. Enjoy 70 kilometres of beautiful open beaches and magical forest wilderness where hiking, surfing, horse-riding and eco bike tours are the order of the day. For the kayak curious, Noosa River and the Noosa Everglades await. This area is known as the River of Mirrors due to the startling reflections cast in the water courtesy of the Tannin tea trees that line the shores. Kayak tours depart from Boreen Point and boat tours from Elanda Point.
