The experience

Queensland is a little more luxurious since the arrival of One Spa, RACV Royal Pines Resort’s multi-million-dollar day spa. The fabulous state-of-the-art One Spa complex has been designed to create an intimate, tranquil environment founded on pampering, nurturing, wellbeing and restoration. Exquisitely appointed, with all details considered, One Spa offers locally inspired rituals, unique water therapies, spacious treatment rooms, private change room facilities and a relaxation area that overlooks the beautiful view.

The signature architecture uses a tensioned fabric structure reminiscent of the marquees used for major events. Renowned designer Joseph Pang continues the theme inside the spa, where light and shade are the most important elements.

The treatments

One Spa at RACV Royal Pines Resort features a private lounge, One Spa Hair, four dry treatment rooms, two wet treatment rooms and two couples rooms. Included among the luxurious spa treatments available are customised facials, body scrubs, detox mud therapy, sacred nature therapy, relaxation massage, hot stone massage, pedicures, manicures and grooming services.

Specialised water therapies are also available. Try a steam shower and find yourself cocooned within the soothing and detoxifying warmth of your own steam room as an aromatic mist gently infuses the space before a raindrop shower reawakens all your senses. You might like to try a stimulating bath soak in the outdoor Jacuzzi or sink into the soothing effect of a Japanese bath in a deep tub of warm water blended with aromatic oils. For a real treat you could have a massage jet shower, with six jets of warm water pummelling your skin, or a Vichy shower, where you surrender to the relaxing feeling of seven warm rain showers moving across and around your body.

The food

Along with specialised packages for ‘Pamper & High Tea’, light snacks and beverages are available on the spa cuisine menu.

Things to remember

Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to your appointment to enjoy a refreshment, fill out your consultation form and unwind in the relaxation lounge. Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You will be provided with a personal locker, bathrobe, slippers and disposable underwear. Swimwear is required for water therapies.

The spa environment is clean and peaceful. Smoking and mobile phones are not permitted.

Getting there

The resort is 32km north of Gold Coast Airport and 80km south of Brisbane International Airport. For guests travelling from Brisbane, the Gold Coast is connected to Brisbane by rail, and Nerang Station is five minutes’ drive from the resort.

If driving from Brisbane, follow the Pacific Highway (M1) south to exit 71 (Nerang Broadbeach Rd). After Metricon Stadium, turn left into Ross Street and follow the sign to the overpass to enter Royal Pines Resort.

If driving from Gold Coast Airport, follow the Pacific Highway (M1) north to exit 73 (Nielsen’s Road) and take the road east over the overpass. Take the second left into Birmingham Rd, follow this over the Nerang River Bridge and then follow signs to the hotel.

For those wanting to get out and discover the coast, the resort offers a shuttle service loop to Surfers Paradise Q1, The Star Casino & Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

Please park in the car park directly under the hotel tower. Self-Parking is complimentary.
