Eyes – colour blindness
Colour-blindness is an inability to see colours as others do and this usually due to the lack of or dysfunction of cones in the eye. Cones are specialised cells that translate light waves into a perception of colour. Some diseases such as sickle cell anaemia and pernicious anaemia can also disturb the interpretation of colour by the eye.
