Dermatitis
Dermatitis is a broad term used to describe any general inflammation of the skin including atopic dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, irritant contact dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis. Allergic dermatitis can result from contact with perfumes, rubber, nickel jewellery, medicated creams and cosmetics. If skin keeps in contact with the allergen the dermatitis is likely continue and spread. Dermatitis commonly occurs on the face, behind the knees and in front of elbows.
Symptoms: scaling, flaking, weeping, crusting, and itching of the skin. There may also be a change in the colour of skin.
