Common examples of bursitis are tennis elbow and frozen shoulder. Bursitis can be confused with tendonitis, but bursitis has a dull persistent pain often accompanied by fluid accumulation, whereas tendonitis has a sharp pain on movement.

Symptoms: pain, inflammation, tender to touch, redness, limited range of movement.
