Manifest your goals

Ask: what are your goals?

When I first learnt about the Law of Attraction, I completely misunderstood the teachings. What I understood was that if you want to be rich, just act rich. So I started spending money that I really didn’t have. I went shoe shopping one afternoon and came back and told my husband that I had just put down a $5K deposit on a $300K house! I really, really didn’t understand what I was doing and our money situation became worse and worse.  I was trying to force things to happen without really understanding how the Law really worked.

‘There are no limits to what the Universe can provide: your only limitations are within your own mind.’  ~ Sandy Forster

When I first started imagining what I wanted, I started thinking so big that deep down I didn’t really believe it could happen – and it didn’t. I wanted to be a millionaire however that was so far-fetched for me that it was more wishful thinking than a goal. The secret is that you think big enough so that part of you can actually imagine it happening. You don’t have to know HOW, you just have to be able to believe that it is a possibility. The HOW will be shown to you along the way.

So I sat down and really thought about why I wanted the money. It all came down to one thing: freedom.  I wanted to work on my own terms, I wanted to be with my family, I wanted to go shopping and buy what I wanted not what I needed, I wanted to socialise and have a life.

I wanted to work on my own terms, I wanted to be with my family, I wanted to go shopping and buy what I wanted not what I needed, I wanted to socialise and have a life.

I worked out how much money I would need to be able to achieve all of this, why I wanted it, how my life would be different if I had it and, most importantly, how I would feel if I already had this in my life right now. This became my six month ‘achievable, believable’ goal.

What goal would you like to achieve over the next six months? If the thought is too overwhelming, you can set smaller goals, say for two months or one month or even a week at a time. Whatever you choose, make sure when crafting your goal that you include: why you want it, how your life would be different if you had it and how it would make you FEEL if you had this in your life.

By writing down and focusing on your goal you will be more likely to notice the people, circumstances and events that appear in your life to help you achieve your goals.
