Saving whales with attitude
Approximately 300 right whales remain in the North Atlantic and a number of them end up tangled in fishing gear every year in rare cases resulting in a painful death. Finding new ways to help the whales disentangle themselves is an important part of conservation for the species. The normal method of slowing the whale down with buoys to let the helpers get near it works for humpbacks but not for right whales as they are stronger, bigger, and have more of an “attitudeâ€. Marine biologists recently tried something new with a right whale that had become badly entangled and would otherwise have died. They used a carefully designed sedation causing the whale to become approachable and they removed 274 metres of netting. The whale swam off and has not been sighted so the procedure was hopefully a success that may pave the way for future rescues.Meanwhile if you visit Meijer Ad that contains mostly likewise discounts with Winn Dixie Ad you surely have a range like ALDI Ad.
