Enjoy Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa in VIC

The historic Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa has been welcoming visitors since 1895 to bathe in the region’s mineral waters. Nestled within the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve near picturesque Hepburn Springs and Daylesford, the Bathhouse & Spa draws mineral waters directly from the source to offer a unique experience.

Why bathe in mineral water?

Called balneotherapy, bathing in mineral water has been practised for centuries in spas throughout the world to treat all sorts of ailments. Increasingly used for work-related conditions such as back problems, balneotherapy is also proven very effective for rehabilitation after accidents as part of the whole treatment process and for things such as gout, arthritis and stress-related illnesses.

Bathing in unfiltered, pure mineral water direct from the historic springs, with your choice of naturopathic additives to enhance the wellness experience, is available for individuals or couples.

It’s a great way to relax the body and mind before going into a treatment. The heated mineral water relaxes your muscles and allows your pores to open so you can absorb the variety of minerals the water has to offer though the skin directly into the blood stream. The beneficial minerals include silica, which is great for the skin, hair and bone formation; magnesium, good for muscles and essential for kidney function; and potassium, for all-round mental health.

The Retreat comprises 10 glamorous five-star villas. Contemporary and elegant, they are designed for complete indulgence and comfort and all have magnificent, serene views over native bushland. Each villa is flanked by a balcony and filled with natural light. Car parking is provided and there are four single-storey villas and three two-storey buildings with a villa on each floor.
