20% of Giesen’s owned vineyards are organic or in transition. It is our viticulture practice to use organic philosophy throughout all of our viticulture management on all of our vineyards, not just our certified organic vineyards.
We see organics as being about improving our soil structure and helping the soil to hold onto water and nutrients. If the land is continually replenished, the soil will be healthy, and so will the plants and fruit.
This organic Sauvignon Blanc is from the Wairau Valley, from our Dillons Point and Stump Creek certified organic vineyards, along with fruit from certified organic growers.
