Ingredients

  • 120g butter or dairy-free buttery spread
  • 1 cup pitted fresh dates, finely chopped
  • 1 ORGRAN Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • 2 eggs or equivalent ORGRAN No Egg™ Egg Replacer
  • 2 eggs or equivalent ORGRAN No Egg™ Egg Replacer

Method


  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease lamington or slice/brownie pan and line with baking paper. Set aside.
  • Melt butter in heavy-bottomed saucepan over low heat and add dates. Remove from heat and lightly whisk butter through dates so they spread.
  • In large bowl, add ORGRAN Brownie Mix, eggs or egg replacer and hot water. Combine until smooth. Add butter and dates. Whisk for another minute.
  • Pour into prepared pan and bake for 20 mins.
  • Allow to cool in pan for around 5–10 mins before slicing.
