Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups banana puree (about 3 bananas mashed with fork until smooth)
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter or other nut butter
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tbsp coarse pink salt, to sprinkle on top

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Mix all ingredients except salt in bowl to form dough. Using tablespoon, scoop dough into balls and place on baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Keep balls about 2.5cm apart.
  • Sprinkle top of each ball with salt. Bake for 10 mins. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
  • Note: If mixture is too wet and not forming a ball, add a little more cocoa powder. Balls should be firm but moist.
