A bone spur is a growth most commonly found on the heel, resulting from stress on the heal bone and soft tissues. Stress results in inflammation of plantar fascia, if unrelieved repeated pulling of the ligament aggravates the heel bone.
Contributing factors: injury, gout, obesity, tendinitis, lupus, arthritis, nerve problems, poorly fitting shoes, muscle inflammation, excessive exercise and excessive walking.
Symptoms: pain with taking the first steps in the morning and after periods of rest.
