Spiritual Celebrity Yoga…

“The deeper you get into Yoga you realize it is a spiritual practice. It’s a journey I’m making. I’m heading that way.”

– Some Yoga wisdom from former Police front man Sting.

Yes, yes I do agree… but I kind of have the poos about the fact we resort to quoting Sting in yoga course texts these days.

I was bitching with a friend the other day about celebritism in yoga, but the realised we were both REALLY looking forward to going to a particular conference because a yoga course was being taught by… well… I don’t want to admit to who… but someone very famous (and kind of spunky) teacher in the yoga world would be there.

The wisdom for the day… do yoga conferences if you want to, even if it’s because you fancy the yoga teacher… because the doing is what it’s all about.  Know it, see it, and let it drift by.

I’ve just discovered a new kind of yoga – Bhakti – which clebrates the spiritual.  Check out Meggan Brummers story on “Bhakti Yoga – A Path to Communion With the Divine”.
