“Yoga is a way to freedom. By its constant practice, we can free ourselves from fear, anguish and loneliness…”
– Some yoga wisdom from the lovely Indra Devi
Today Muffles-the-yoga-cat has decided to hang out with the moths in the backyard, and I am here alone at my computer screen at 11pm ….
In my experience… fear and anguish are best experienced in loneliness. Even if the spuds are boiling and the kids are screaming, you can’t really feel the desperate disconnected anguish of the too-long-isolated mind. Yoga practice does give a sense of connection or unity, and in unity there is freedom. I am sure some wise yoga teacher could speak to that.
Did you visit your yoga centre today…? I did, but you know what. I didn’t yesterday or the day before. I’ve decided to accept that my yoga practice is like a sine-wave – sometimes high, sometimes low, but always there – like a heart beat.
Yours,
