Rosehip Oil and your Skin – for acne, scars and much more

Rose hip oils comes from a wild rose bush and is very good for your skin. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the rose bush. Rosehip oil is filled with vitamin A, vitamin C, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. The anti-inflammatory properties that are in the oil are what help to reduce the redness in acne scars.

It is always a good idea before using anything new, including rosehip oil, to test it before applying it to large areas. Testing a small amount on your forearm will help to check for any reaction in case you are allergic.

Rosehip oil as a moisturiser

The vitamin A in the oil is great for moisturising the skin and helping with the promotion of skin regeneration. The reason this oil is so great for using as a moisturiser is because of the fatty acids and water. If you are already using a moisturiser you can add a few drops straight to it and apply together or you can use a few drops and apply after the moisturiser. This then creates a barrier and stops air from drying out the skin. You can also apply rosehip oil before you moisturise and have it absorbed straight into the skin. Choose the option that will work best for you.

Rosehip oil for acne scars

Rosehip oil can be used on the face where you may have acne scars to help reduce them. When using the oil to help with scars be sure to exfoliate and clean the area first. You will only need a few drops to massage into the scar. Applying rosehip oils two times a day will have the best results to your skin and will help to prevent as well as reduce the acne scars.

Helping with anti-aging

Omega-3, omega-6 fatty acids are all great for anti-aging as they help to speed up the skin’s cellular activity. These are all found in rosehip oil. This oil is also great for using on dark spots. Rosehip oil will also lighten your skin and may help to make your complexion better, just mix a couple of drops with a carrier oil. Carrier oils are vegetable oils like jojoba or avocado oil. These oils usually come from seeds, kernels or nuts of plants.

Try giving Rosehip a go. This oil is natural and great for not only moisturising your skin, but also for acne scars, anti-aging and helping to improve your skin all round making it smoother, brighter and healthier.
